WE DID IT!!!!!

We finally did it! I learnt a lot this term in Computer Club.

It was Fun doing our andventure. I liked it when we came to make our Movies Best. It was really nice and fun!  We learnt how to support , love , help , clean and feed the Donkeys.

We also learnt a lot on the computer Like:Photo Story3, Movie Maker , Autocollage , Blogging , designing your own Blog , We did a PowerPoint , We did a letter in word and lots of other stuff.

Anyway I really enjoyed it is what I'm trying to say.

So Eseltjiesrus Donkey Sanctuary is written about no more or is it?

 I thought that some of the Donkeys were beautiful and some prettier than others but at the Donkey Sanctuary, to the Donkeys it does not matter what you look like. I've been to The Donkey Sanctuary but I was excited because all my friends were coming with me. I've been close to a Donkey before they are very nice. They feel so soft but some that have been abused don't feel as nice. These Donkeys have all been abused that is why they are all in the Sanctuary. Remember I said I've met the Donkeys so I new how big and how small they were. What I found interesting about them is that they need to be fed and groomed quite often.  Poo Bath Interview Is what This weeks post is a about. 

Firstly I am going to tell you about Poo.We are starting with poo because it was first. So we went into another paddock and she said there were ladies that got paid to pick up poo so everybody started picking up poo.

Next we went to the other side of the paddock and we looked at where they drank. It was an old bath she said they often had to clean out the bath so we took it in turns to scrub.

Last but not least we interviewed our guides. Our guide was Anne-Marie. All the groups had a person to give a chocolate. I was that person in our group. It was so fun!

Grooming The Donkeys

You must brush a Donkey everyday.

It is very important so that it can remove mud and Burs (Burs are a type of thorns). Some of the Donkeys are really soft because they were better taken care of than others. Some of them felt horrible because they are very dirty and haven't been well taken care of because they were new.

They also have to have there hooves cleaned. The person who does that is called a "Farrier". They have to be cleaned quite a lot. You also need to clean their eyes, thats also very important otherwise dust and dirt will get in and there eyes and will get infected. It's the same thing with the hooves. Except the hooves will get sores and go all gross.

The Trip to the Donkey Sanctuary

On Saturday our computer club went up to Eseltjiesrus Donkey Sanctuary for our outing. when we got there I saw two of my friends Cush and Keziah. The first thing we did there was doing some exercises with Patricia (she was one of the people that showed us the donkeys).It looks beautiful outside the fence there were benches and there was a restraunt and beautiful ground and green grass.There will be more next week Wednesday.
